Tax Assessment Review Appraisals
If you are a homeowner and feel that the tax assessed value of your property is not correct, we can provide an appraisal of your real estate.
Keep in mind that although the state law in Ohio requires that your residential property be valued at 100% of fair market value, the state will accept local auditor values that are from 92% — 97% of actual market value.
We have encountered some individual instances in some smaller counties where the assessed values were only 30% — 50% of the fair market value.
Unless you are reasonably certain that your house has been overvalued, you are better off to not challenge an auditor's tax value of your home as it is probably already 5% — 8% below fair market value.
